When to Dive the Andaman Sea?
Like most diving destinations in Thailand, locations in the Similan Islands and Myanmar experience both a wet and dry season. During the wet season, conditions can be poor, making it impossible to explore the dive sites year-round. Additionally, the best marine life, such as whale sharks and manta rays, are more commonly seen during the dry season.
On the Andaman coast, the wet season runs from June to September, and the Similan and Surin National Marine Parks are closed during this period. However, due to the regionalized weather patterns, diving around Koh Lipe remains possible.
We have scheduled all of our Deep Andaman Queen trips to align with the best seasonal conditions, ensuring optimal experiences for dive courses, fun diving, underwater photography, and overall enjoyment.
